The Universe Design Tool (UDT) is no longer shipped with BI 2025. Only the Information Design Tool (IDT) is supported.

UNV universes are no longer executable. All Webi and Crystal Reports documents relying on UNVs stop working in BI 2025.

UNV → UNX conversion must be performed on BI 4.3 (ideally SP4 or SP5) before migration.

Multi-source universes (MSU) are also removed, even in UNX format.

The scale of the conversion project

Validation and regression testing — every converted report must be tested for data accuracy, formatting, scheduling and publications.

According to APOS Technologies, some projects involving hundreds of universes and hundreds of thousands of Webi reports can take several years.
